Who are we?
P.McCarthy Limited based in Brandon, Suffolk, was formed in 1989 by Paul McCarthy as a company who specialised in removals and export packing, on a sub-contract basis, for the local American Military Personnel and their families stationed at the various Air Force bases throughout the United Kingdom. The company grew in stature and in 1995, became involved with the transportation of the American Military Personnel’s privately owned vehicles to and from the Port of Southampton, whilst also delivering vehicles to the various vehicle processing centres, auction groups, fleet companies and major manufacturers in the United Kingdom.
Paul originally started the company from home, but in 1997 moved the company’s operations to the market town of Brandon giving the company better access to the local military sites. This gave the company the room and opportunity to grow, develop and expand into a trusted name and organisation within each of the Car Distribution and Removals & Export Packing industries. A year later, P. McCarthy Ltd started working to move containers around the country. In 2013, a new, much larger site was needed and by May 2014, a new site was sourced and redeveloped to hold all of our operations on one site. This has allowed us to expand and invest in our fleet of car transporters whilst giving us the opportunity to offer a range of car storage possibilities.
Since starting to move vehicles around the country and world for the American Personnel, P. McCarthy Ltd has also developed strong and valuable relationships with key contacts from many local and non-local car companies. These contacts have taken and will continue to take the company around the country collecting and distributing cars for dealers, lease and rental companies, auction groups, fleet companies and major manufacturers. We hold key contracts with many major blue-chip companies based in the UK with many operating on an international level.
Using the latest vehicles and trailers, P. McCarthy Ltd has the capabilities to move up to 11 vehicles (dependant on size) on each of their transporters. The members of staff who operate these vehicles are highly experienced and have worked for the company for many years. All are presentable, flexible and very accommodating whilst always providing the highest level of customer service.
